This can happen when a furnace is equipped with a standard blower motor. In this case, motors only ramp up when heat is called for. Consequently, temperature fluctuation pockets develop between the ceiling and floor. With the York ECM motor, air is circulated for longer periods of time, at a fraction of the cost, which reduces air stratification and makes the home more comfortable.
